The Copywriter is focused on crafting consumer–focused content that brings product stories to life, resonates with target consumer(s), incents purchase and generates new interest in the brand, while maintaining and upholding the brand voice.

Responsibilities

• Write persuasive, strategic copy for web pages, banners, emails, display ads, etc. • Concept and develop creative ideas with designers and photographers to achieve exciting executions • Collaborate with team members to ensure all work is brand compliant, seamlessly integrated and appropriately executed • Write accurate and concise eCommerce copy for any stage of the purchase lifecycle • Ability to look at a product web page and write a story that brings to life the benefits in a conversational way • Stay up to date on product technology and ensure that copy portrays this information accurately, concisely and effectively • Develop and/or edit all site long descriptions of product profiles • Stay abreast of trends and actively pursue new knowledge of the market and our consumers that can be translated into the development of strategic marketing content • Use consumer insights to develop surveys and other content that can be used to gather new and/or additional insights from our consumers • Edit website policies and transactional emails as needed • Work with customer care to write and update the FAQs on website • Proof and review all brand-provided content for accuracy

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong editing skills with exceptional spelling and grammar • Understands and keeps a pulse on consumer/e-commerce trends and applies knowledge to daily work • Strong understanding of writing clear, concise digital content • General knowledge of SEO best practices • Well organized, detail oriented, and resourceful • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, general understanding of Adobe Creative Suite • Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing, English/Literature, Journalism, Communications or related field • 2+ years copywriting experience at an agency or in-house creative department • Strong background in writing for digital mediums with an emphasis in ecommerce • Experience writing for a variety of audiences, in both short and long-form • Previous knowledge of the athletic performance or athleisure industry preferred
